RSAF needed its application to fly on an aircraft the Hivemind SDK had never run on. With another engineer and a pilot, I led the first integration onto Ascent Spirit and turned what we learned into a bring-up that, by my estimate, took about a day instead of a week.

For 15 months, I was RSAF’s primary applications engineer, from their first SDK training to a search-and-rescue flight demonstration and a multi-agent follow-on. The goal throughout was a customer team that could keep building on its own.

It started as my internship project: LiDAR perception that helps a loading chute find where each train car begins and ends. It entered production that summer, and I kept extending it for new sensors, mixed cars, blocked views, and shunted trains.

A point cloud shows a pile; the machine needs a decision. I built the planning that recommends where a portal crane should work next, layer detection for a bucket-wheel reclaimer, and replay tools that show how each result was reached.

engr is my independent engineering practice and creative space—a home for products, experiments, and systems beyond a single discipline. I’m drawn to unexpected relationships across disciplines and enjoy bringing those connections to life through the things I build.
I’m also the co-founder and CTO of Æthos, where I lead engineering and product architecture for tools for reflection and understanding. My work there brings together software development, research, and interaction design.
